12 tags of 2013 - January

I was checking comments yesterday and ended up on Tim Holtz blog and saw his tutorial for making January's tag, one of  the 12 tags of 2013 challenge at his blog!

After thinking and checking out my stash I decieded to give it a try, my first ever enrollment in his challenges. This is going to be a long explanation, so have patience! =)

So I began with searching my digital images and found the following:

Tiddly Inks - Gears2paper + Gears from the same set!
Graphic's Fairy - The clocks without fingers + the hand sign
Ginger's House - The wonderful sentiment
CS Designs - Filmstrip (got that during my DT, not in the shop)

After I had merged the background, gears and clock, I printed that out + the sign, sentiment and a filmstrip I got while being on the DT for CS Designs!
The first thing I did was cutting out the background as a tag, inked it with different chalks, inks and some distress ink, then used brown and silver ink along the edges! Added distress ink to the hand sign, also to the sentiment that I cut out! 
With the filmstrip I cut out the squares in it and used a double sided tape to add some plastic behind it, then fasten it with the sign using dimensionals. 
I used a QK die for the small gears, but in order to give them a metallic look I added aluminium tape onto a paper and ran that thru my cuttlebug! 
To highlight them a bit more, I added crackle accents and glossy accents to some of the gears! The sentiment is raised up with dimensionals and I added a clock charm beneath it!
To finish the tag i found some velvet ribbon + a paper ribbon that I tied at the top!

ATC swap kort

Jag har gjort lite ATC's - Artist Trading Cards och lovade en kompis att beskriva lite om dem.

Hos "fria tyglar" hittade jag en perfekt beskrivning på svenska:

ATC är en förkortning av ARTIST TRADING CARD, fritt översatt blir det ”konstnärliga samlarkort”. Det enda som är givet är storleken – och att de inte får säljas utan bara bytas. Originalstorleken anges i inch: 2,5 x 3,5 inch. Omsatt i centimeter blir det: 6,4 x 8,9 cm. Håller man det måttet passar bilderna i de speciella samlarplastfickor som finns att köpa för tex fotbolls- eller ishockeybilder.

Jag är med i en grupp där vi skulle byta ATC kort med Steampunk & bling tema, tänkte att jag visar upp dem här! =) De är gjorde som vridna staffli ATC kort, efter en inspiration som jag hittade hos Splitcoasstampers! =)
Klockdelarna fick jag från goa C's pappa, han skulle kassera dem så jag fick återanvända dem, tur att jag har en mini skruvmejsel! =)
Ramarna till klockdelarna och bakgrunderna på nedre delen av korten kommer från Tiddly Inks!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #91 - Sketch

I haven't done a Tiddly Inks challenge in a long time, so thought I'd do it now, especially since I just bought one of the newest images, that I used in this card + the sentiment are also from Tiddly Inks! =)

I used Dragon Friend and it was a delight to color! =) Used both promarkers and glitter gel pens! =)

Then I found a small doile for the background, added a lace tape and some brads!

"Friends are the Flowers of Life - Tiddly Inks Blog Hop"

I wanted to join the blog hop at Tiddly Inks today and to do that I had to make a card accordning to the theme:

"Friends are the Flowers of Life".  

I used the lovely Wryn - Grow a little love and a sentiment from Tiddly Inks! =)

The image is colored with my watercolor pencils and I distressed the edges with a white inkpad.

CDAC Progressive freebie challenge 8 - Second card

I colored a lot of images yesterday and here is my second card for CDAC Progressive freebie challenge 8 with Bakster, the cute puppy from Just Some Lines! =)

I used a paw print background from Tiddly Inks and left the right hand corner blank for putting a dog's name there! =)

Jag färglade en hel del bilder igår och här är mitt andra kort till CDAC Progressiva freebie utmaning med Bakster, den söte valpen från Just Some Lines! =)

Jag använde en bakgrund med tassavtryck från Tiddly Inks och lämnade det högra hörnet tomt för en hunds namn där!

CDAC Progressive freebie challenge 5 - Third card

I just finished my third card for the CDAC Progressive freebie challenge and this is almost in the cool colors, but some more warm colors in the M&M's! =) The image is from Digidrawn and cookies it is this time! =)

I also used a sentiment from a cookieset from Tiddly Inks, it was so perfect for this image! =)

Jag är precis klar med mitt tredje kort till CDAC progressiva freebie utmaning och det 'r nästa i det kalla färgspektrat men det är lite varmare färger i M&M's! Bilden kommer från Digidrawn och det är kakor denna gången! =)

Jag använde också en text från en kakset från Tiddly Inks, det var perfekt för denna bilden! =)

Tiddly Inks challenge 65 with Art Journaling

Tiddly Inks new challenge is about Art Journaling and this is my first try at it, so I hope this is good for the challenge. 

I used the "Inking of you" image, lot's of acrylic paint, glitter glaze, black pen, die-cut star, pearl maker, decoupage paper, dotted tape, promarkers, glossy accents and lines stamped with corrugated paper?! =)

Tiddly Inks nya utmaning handlar om att doodla på en anteckningsbok, detta är första gången jag testar att göra något sådant och har jobbat på den några kvällar nu, använde mig av "Inking of you" från TI!

Sakerna jag använde var akrylfärger, glitter glaze, svart penna, stjärndekor, pearl maker decoupage papper, prickig tejp, promarkers, glossy accents och stämplade linjer med wellpapp! =)

Tiddly Inks challenge #63 "Reading fun"

This is my take on Tiddly Inks challenge #63 "Reading fun" and I have used three images in this one!

First one is the Open book, a freebie, then  a set of books and the lovely "Thank you" girl! =)

For me reading is like meditation, if I need to relax and move into another world, a book is the perfect place and since I always read a lot of books at the same time I added a lot of books! =)

A card for Ryan & Tiddly Inks Challenge 62 - Inch my way along

I read about Ryan at a blog and felt I wanted to make a card for him, here is a little about him and why we try to send him cards:

"On a separate note, Ryan has received a few cards recently and seems to really enjoy opening them and looking at them. We would really like to continue showering him with cards! Below is his address at the hospital if you'd like to send him one. These can also be useful with his rehabilitation by triggering memories. To help his parents and therapists in explaining the cards to Ryan, it'd be great if you could include a picture of yourself and/or a description of how you know each other (i.e. college, work, etc.). Another idea would be to write about a great story or memory you and Ryan share together. Thanks and have a good weekend."

Tiddly Inks Challenge #44 "You're a stitch"

Tiddly Inks har en utmaning där man ska använda sig av stygn på något vis, då jag inte har en symaskin så ritade jag dit lite stygn runt den fina björkbilden från Tiddly Inks! =)

Tidly Inks have a challenge where you have to use stitches of some kind, when I don't have a sewingmachine I drew some stitches around the lovely birchimage from Tiddly Inks! =)
