Art With No Boundaries April Ezine - Guest Artist

I'm again a guest artist at Art With No Boundaries and this time for the April issue! =)

This is what I made:

Babushka Surprise Card

I have had Little Babushka Nikita for some time and decided to make a card with her, I got idea to make it like a real Russian doll. =)
I first printed out three different sizes of Nikita, colored her with my promarkers and now came the hard part, how to get all three to show between each other.
I found some eyelet's from my stash and used my tool to make holes in the side of the upper and lower part of the two bigger Nikita's.
Then I added the eyelets and put them all together, so that if I pulled them to the side I could see first one below the other and then the last one was behind the others!
That was quite the trick to make it work and I'm happy it did.
I used a green patterned paper for the background and an orange cardstock for the card, added an orange flower in the upper corner with a half pearl to match the other colors!
I'm going to try this in some other form later on too, since it's fun to make new kind's of cards and surprise the people who get them! =)

Art with No Boundaries Ezine March Vol. 4 - Guest Artist

I made this as a Guest Artist entry in Art With No Boundaries Online Ezine March Vol. 4 and it's one of my favorites so far! Please go and check out all the other fantastic creations that Chris at CS Designs has made too!

I found this little box with coasters at a flea market and thought it would be a good project for recycling! =)
I wasn't sure what to make of it, after I had given my mum all the coasters, so decided to check through my digis first.

When I found CS Designsbeautiful Anna Wong image I just had to print her out and color her with my promarkers.
Her hair got a brown color, the decorations in her hair are in green, yellow and red tones and a slight touch of pink on her lips.

Then back to the box, I have package of asian style napkins that are well used for crafting, so I cut out a piece and used my decoupage glue to add it to the lid of the box. Since the wood is so dark I had to add two layers of napkins and I really like how it turned out!

I added Anna Wong with my trusty glue and then used a stamp pad to chalk the edges of the lid in champagne. To make sure it wouldn't come off I use a varnish spray and on the areas where it didn't work, I added some more decoupage glue.
I really like how it turned out and maybe I'll keep it or give it to a friend, haven't decided yet! =)

Art With No Boundaries Ezine Vol. 3 - Guest Artist

I'm a Guest artist at Art With No Boundaries Ezine Vol.3 and this time with a Valentine card! =)

Giz Valentine

When I first saw Giz the cat I got this idea that he would look good on a Valentine, so I decided to see if that would work out. I first printed out Giz and colored him with my promarkers, so that he looked ready for Valentine in his striped top.
Then I remembered the tutorial by Candy from the January's issue about changing the color of digital images and opened Word for Windows and managed to change the color of the Live, Love, Sing & Dance background from CS Designs to a red/brown color, which worked great as a background for Giz!

I choose a red cardstock as the card base and added the background with double sided tape, then added Giz with 3D foam that were leftovers from an earlier project. Something more was needed so I found some charms I bought earlier with double hearts and added a red ribbon with small dots to the charm and it's attached with a glue dot.  I had some leftover ribbon so that's what Giz is standing on.
This was my first valentine this year and I'm happy with how the card turned out!

Guest Artist at Art With No Boundaries Ezine Vol 2

I was asked if I wanted to be a Guest Artist at Art With No Boundaries Ezine for January, so I decided to accept and this is what I made for it! =)

Victorian Valentine Heart

I bought this heart in wood with silver coloring at a sale 2 years ago and left it in a drawer and found it when I was looking for something else just before christmas!
I realized that it would be perfect for a Valentine hanging, so decided to work with it!

The things I used for this is a wood heart, soft pink cardstock, promarkers, glitter pen, ribbon and glue!
The designs used from CS Designs are: Angel Face x 2, Victorian Deco Heart 1 and How do I love thee background.

I first printed out the background on soft pink cardstock and traced the heart so that I would get a good background fit inside the heart, next I glued the background to the back of the heart. After that I printed out the Angel Face and mirrored one of them, colored her in soft tones and added some silver in her eyes! I also colored the heart and cut out the rest of the designs and placed them inside the frame!
I added a ribbon on the back as a hanger with my gluegun!

I'm happy with the how it turned out and think it will be a fantastic hanging for Valentine's Day!

This is the finished heart and below some close up on the details!
